Raiders’ Aidan O’Connell makes truthful admission about limitation

The Las Vegas Raiders added key help for presumed starting quarterback Aidan O’Connell in the 2024 NFL Draft with offensive players taken in the first three picks. First round selection Brock Bowers out of Georgia is expected to add a security blanket as a pass catcher over the middle and a talented blocker on the edge and interior of the offense for a Raiders team that needs help all over the field.

On Saturday, an article published to TheScore.com included O’Connell’s praise for current Las Vegas head coach Antonio Pierce in a series of comments that has shed new light on the Raiders offensive leader’s expectations for this season and beyond.

The O’Connell comments came during an analysis of the one undrafted free agent expected to make the Raiders roster this season. Game-by-game predictions were also offered during a Raiders pre-season schedule release.

O’Connell may not be the second coming of Joe Montana or Tom Brady, but he does have skills and talent between his ears that Raiders fans could see come to fruition on the field this season if Pierce’ vision for the Raiders comes to pass.

O’Connell Makes Raiders Future Admission 

O’Connell appeared quite humble and reflective in a video posted to Twitter on Saturday during which he stated that he was grateful that Coach Pierce has “given him the right” to take the first snaps with the first team offense. He also shared his gratitude and humility for Pierce’s decision and spoke about what he expects as the likely starting QB for the Raiders, including the fierce competition that is about to ensue with Gardner Minshew and others.
