Syracuse center Jesse Edwards out for rest of season with fractured wrist

The Syracuse Orange will be without a member of their starting five for the rest of the season.

Coach Jim Boeheim's squad is currently 13-11 overall and in seventh place in the ACC with a 7-6 conference record. The Orange have won four in a row and will next take on Virginia Tech on the road at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.

In his third season, Edwards is currently second in the ACC at 2.8 blocks per game, while posting career-highs in points (12.0), rebounds (6.5), steals (1.1) and minutes per contest (27.8) as well. The center has also shot a team-best 69.1% from the field and 59.8% from the free throw line.

Edwards suffered the injury during Tuesday night's victory against Boston College.
